As exacting as science-as individual as your fingerprint-as challenging as you care to make it-this is a thumbnail sketch of cave diving. It's something different to each participant, but the rules are always the same. When a human being enters an alien environment such as underwater/underground, he must rely first on his intelligence and his knowledge, and second on his equipment for survival. For this reason, the Cave Diving Section of the National Speleological Society has published this cave-diving manual. In it you will find the analysis of thousands of successful dives and the few which were not successful. What did these successful divers know that the unsuccessful did not? That question has no single answer - that's why there are so many chapters in this manual. This book will not make you an expert, but is will hopefully give you a firm foundation upon which to build. Size: 14cm x 20cm, 377 pages. Mostly text, with diagrams.
